The best TV shows I watched were on the BBC, "Luther", "Misfits", & "Sherlock". The Brits know how to make good TV I must say.

2nd that. Luther was AWESOME. Can't wait for next season. Also L&O UK.

You have to do a category for worst and nominate "Why Did I Get Married Too" for worst film of the decade.

Can't wait for it. Some of my favorite stuff I discovered this year is actually from '09. For one 2010 pick, as obvious as it may be, "The Suburbs" from Arcade Fire was a masterpiece.

I guess you could say this year was one where I liked seeing ideas from all over come together in unexpected and interesting ways.

TV:
Venture Brothers still one of my favorite shows that actually develops characters, mixing multiple threads, and dropping absurd references.

Terriers on FX. I just loved it for easy flowing dialog and character development. Wished it would have been renewed but glad they gave it conclusive ending.

Big Fan of Luther and Misfits as well.

Favorite mixtape\album is still Big KRIT's "Krit was here." Most soulful rap (southern or any other territory) I've heard in a while. Kept waiting for something else to dethrone it (Flying Lotus, Kanye, Black Milk, or Big Boi) but didn't happen.

In other genre's (that are not metal) I'm still stuck on 2009. LCD's this is happening stood out but its not one I will constantly jam on. Janelle Monae's album was great but I rarely listen to it.

Movies: Didn't get to see many this year. I'm always late to this stuff.

Most of my favorite stuff still is coming from 2009 though. I guess I need to see these list so I can adjust.

Favorite Books:
Closing The Engagement Gap
The Macrophenomenal Pro Basketball Almanac

I need to read more.

Favorite Video Games:
Mass Effect 2: Cinematic and Gameplay were perfectly married

Battlefield Bad Company 2:
Though slightly flawed multiplayer code. A much more balanced and fun experience than any other FPS. And when you can actually find a group that can play as team, online gameplay can be both thrilling and tactically satisfying.

NBA 2k11... this game and Fifa do the best jobs simulating their sports with an intuitive control scheme and realistic yet fun approach. NBA gets the nod because Fifa didn't advance their feature set enough this year.
