It's hard to believe this is (at least) my 3rd Halloween edition.
Again, I hate when songs don't have a proper video but sometimes bullets must be bit.
On a related note...
Unless you have no TV and believe this interwebs craze is a bunch of bullisht, you're well aware of the rally going down in my (extended) backyard Saturday. Since I'm a dark and brooding dude, I'm supporting Colbert's half of the endeavor and thinking about adhering to his call to dress as my greatest fear for the day.
I just might have found my costume inspiration...
Anyone else going to be on the Mall for the festivities?

jan:

......i really hope that steve jobs or somebody else. creates the time machine within the next 5 years. so they can drop this dumb ass off during the civil rights movement.

" This year halloween fell on a weekend. Me and geto boyz are trick-or-treating. "
what's funny... why do they feel the need to state that he is a "conservative singer songwriter" yet, his first words are that he isn't african american, but an american...wow.
haha! that Lloyd Marcus dude is my new hero!
hilarious
i think a few guys from the message might be in attendance
I realized I don't have a black vest, black jeans or black hat with rat tail extension so I might be SOL.
I could go on about Lloyd and how divorced his present noteriety is from how he managed to actually get out of his existence in Baltimore but I'll pass on it.
@Blacktain
The whole performance is bizarre in a few ways but they had to make sure the audience knew he wasn't fake and I believe he might have been separating himself from some of the other black speakers on hand that day. Those speakers stated "I am Black and I am a Tea Partier" constantly (in actuality, they were a part of Project 21, but that's a story for another time). So Lloyd was really trying to break away, even from the right-wing black folks.
That took King-Kong balls.
what happened to this man?! does he realize that these people he is siding with hate blacks AND gays? So either way, they hate him. he also had nerve singing over a track. and not harmonizing with his OWN voice.
Kinda looks like Kool Moe Dee...but sounds like caca.
@Robin
what's funny is that their national anthem sounds so gay.
@Robin
Hey, hey, hey...
He stated he wasn't black/African American. And who said he's gay? He didn't. Just because on man gets on a stage in a leather vest singing show tunes with a impromptu chorus line behind them and a voice that could be considered slightly effeminate doesn't mean he's gay. But...
And to answer your question, what happened was a check and notoriety for someone who knew his talent was marginal, at best.
