Wow. Did this remind anyone of jazz? It kinda reminded me of "Moody's Mood for Love" in that it sounded like the music came first with the rhyme freestyled over the twists and turns the music took. I almost expected him to break out into skat improvisations. I liked it.
Big fan of the new record. This song, Roses, History, Auditorium and The Embassy are my favorites. Strong release from a guy who hadn't put out decent record in 5 years or so.

After I saw the show with him and The Roots last night, I haven't been able to get it out of my head. So, I guess that's good. Right?
