UPDATE: Howie Kurtz is truly a douchebag. The Washington Post columnist rails on every Democrat in Washington, especially Obama. But when Sanford admits to the ultimate douchebag act (spending Father's Day with his Argentinian mistress a continent away, apart from his wife and kids), Kurtz lays into him...oops, sorry, tells us we should be moved by Sanford's humanity.
Call a spade a spade. Howie Kurtz is a conservative-apologist posing as a "centrist journalist." He should talk to Roger Ailes about getting a show.

Beat me to the punch with this stories. What's wierd, though, is that I read something recently about Pres. Clinton being down there at a strip club. I don't know the validity but there must be something about Argentina.
This story is going the route of Kwame Kilpatrick. The State newspaper in South Carolina has the emails between him and the woman and will be rolling more of them out tomorrow.
Besides his family, I feel for his staff. Having to cover up dude's isht must've either been a monumental task or he's one of the most stealth folks in a governmental executive office. If this leads to a resignation, the staffers will have a taint on theem they might not be able to remove.

Never thought about how these scandals affect the staffers and how they will have to jockey for new jobs when (he inevitably) resigns.
Also, I'd love to get your take on Kurtz.
I don't know many DC insiders but I do work with a former staffer of a major MSNBC show who calls Kurtz one of the biggest douchebags in the business. Saying he looks out for buddies and tries to take down journos and politicos he doesn't know or like.
I can believe. Also little known is the fact that his wife is some kind of Republican fundraiser or something.
